I don't think so. It may have traveled with some soil we moved years ago and it was just obscured from view until we dropped a huge basswood to the left, last fall? Maybe, but however we're pretty happy to find it.😊

A volunteer bloodroot! Sharon and I are perplexed as to how it jumped uphill and about 6 feet from the parent bunch.

    In memoriam, Bobby Palkovic

The "Merlin Room" recently acquired an addition to the Mackie Music Co. collection. The mandolin has substantial damage but the price-point was too attractive to ignore. Now we have an instrumental trio, although the mandolin needs a luthier and the instruments need musicians.

    Collecting old books?

We do, unwittingly. Unfortunately my "library" is in multiple locations including our house and barn attics, livingroom (actually the audio room), family room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, upstairs hallway, bedrooms, a couple of china cabinets, antique upright phonographs and record storage...

In 1991 we had a devastating ice storm that literally obliterated the power grid and it had to be completely rebuilt in our area. Poles, substations, wires, you name it. The good thing is that the grid has been more stable...

Should “we” have a weather forum?

It should be fine. Ours went through a similar cold snap and snow after the super early warm streak we had here. Now its about 8-10" high! Incidentally, Sharon planted shallots and leeks today. 3 types of onion will be going in over the next couple of days.
