My foray Into DSP and room correction.

I literally just got it today. And the system will be in transition over the coming days to weeks as the rest of my annual audio splurge starts rolling in.

But I can say without any doubt that I hear a difference. What I cannot answer is whether it is a good change or a bad one. It is just too soon to tell.

So just some quick observations.

Low end appears to be more "controlled".

This allows the midrange to mix in more cohesively giving my infinitys a "British" monitor sparkle in the middle. But none of the stif lipped politeness on the highs.

Highs are not really an issue with the emits. But with the low end allowing the rest of the range to shine, it gives an impression of added clarity.

I like it so far.

I have the same unit and find it indispensable in taming an enormous hump in response around 60 Hz (your "before" plot looks similar in many ways), using 2 ProAc Response ER One subs with Tablette monitors.

It just makes things easier to place in the room, the subs don't have to be located in any exact spot anymore, I am free to move them and then make an adjustment via DSP to make it sound like just about any other position in the room.

Great unit for subwoofer integration, though I admit I've never run mine full-range, are you?

Yes, I have mine between my Pre amp and amp. It is set for 2 channel full range. I have to admit that the signal sweeps were a bit of a production and I was a bit surprised at some test tones.

Fun, fun.

I’ve only played in this realm below 200hz, but I am now a solid proponent of using DSP (specifically the DSPeaker modules) to overcome room issues with multiple subwoofers.

I’m really interested to see what you find going “whole hog” with one of these latest and greatest DSPeaker modules.

Very nice, is that a new unit? I don't remember seeing that one on their website before...

Actually, the Antimode 2.0 while still available is no longer the top unit. The much more expensive antimode X4 is. From what little I have read, it is a serious piece of hardware.
