604s ,... NOPE .... A7-800s , ... YEP.....

Thanks.

1) Clip leads??
2) Bass horn and tweeter horn mouths should to be closer-spaced to each other ( more like a point source ) for any small ( non movie theater ) room / near-field listening.

Is that a TD124 on de carpet, to the right of the Linn Bone deck??

I'm sure that those clip leads are "Audiophile Approved Cryo and Pixie Dust Treated" clip leads. ;) :)

That's not my video, to be clear - just a cool clip of an awesome speaker. I think it'd be sacrilege to make any irreversible changes to it... Heck, I even like the old white screen overspray on the old H808 horn!

The world's practically littered with A7s so I wouldn't feel bad about modifying those, but that early 800 is a beaut!

Why don't I ever find any of that litter? I keep my eye on roadsides... but noooooo...

Clip Leads NEW 8-3-2016.JPG

The clip leads you refer-to were actually completed 15 months ago, to THIS day, on 8-03-2016.

They are double lengths of m22759/11 16, so as to have efficient energy transfer ( 2 times 16 AWG equals 13 AWG ). They were cut to approximately 3.57 inches of wire length ( one 57 1/8th Bob Fulton length, with 16 as the divisor ) for efficient energy transfer, and soldered with Wonder Solder. The clips themselves were the only remaining compromise I could think of, in this DIY execution.

Used for listening to film caps, and their orientation, etc etc etc. Have fun, I do !!

Those look better than the string o' recycled bread bag twist ties that I have used in the past... :)

I really like those, actually! Nice, Jeff!

Do I need to insert the obligatory Crocodile Dundee clip now? ;)

Yeah, what the fug.

Actually I can see some value in DIY clipleads -- gotta be more cost-effective than the store-bought kind.
They do look good. I kinda like the notion of using zip cord (i.e., 'Siamesed') wire.

I do think the length should always be an integer number of electron diameters, though -- so none finds itself playing musical chairs, you know?
