Mini DSP HD in a Box

biamping? i have used the non-HD version to biamp my open baffles. it is a bit of work to get it set up but i love being able to input room corrections from REW.

Now I've gone off the deep end and purchased one of thesehttps://www.minidsp.com/products/minidsp-in-a-box/minidsp-2x4-hd
We will find out just how competent I am when it arrives. Lot's of features.

My personal audio philosophy has always been to manipulate the audio signal as little as possible from source to speaker - hence my preference for analog sources, SET amps and even full range drivers.

I also know that there are compromises with any approach - mine certainly included.

I like to believe that I am not too old to learn a new trick now and again and will be watching your journey with the MiniDSP 2x4HD with great interest. :)

Your set up mirrors mine almost to a Tand while it sounds fantastic to my ears from what I know the lot's more to extract. A lot less expensive than buying Voxative drivers. Oh and not to forget I bought a pair of Tang Bang W8 1808 drivers. They get great reviews and peeps say they will put the AN's to shame.

The Tang Bands are awesome drivers.

I went all the way, though....Lowther PM2a drivers in Medallion back loaded horns.

And how are the Lowthers

Funny you should ask.....I've embarked on a "mix and match" horns/drivers/woofers journey ( thanks to @mhardy6647 's very bad influence ;) ) and am having an absolute blast.

In the back of my brain, though, the Lowthers are calling. The combination of the Lowthers with my Quicksilver SET300B amps is, by far, the longest duration system in my ~45 years of seriously playing with this little hobby.

So......wouldn't surprise me in the least to get them set up again at some point in the near future. ;)

There is "magic" in the Lowthers that's very difficult to experience elsewhere. :)

If anyone buys this read the user manual before you order as it may save on shipping costs. You need more cabling than what's in the box. Anyhow, it's going to take quite a while to get this dialed and I need a vacation, so, were off, Thursday, on a red-eye to Central America to drink coffee.
