Time is on my side.
This is the first time I've seen a slot loaded woofer like this. Where did you get the design?
What FR driver did you use? Nelson has the plans set up for a 8" driver. I bet a Betsy and the Alpha 15a would sound pretty good. And very inexpensive too.
EDIT: Looks like a AN classic 8 ?
AN 10 Classic Ferrite with a notch filter/active crossover/bi-amped
Added a bit of color to the Home Depot birch. Walnut & cherry. Wife doesn't like the black drivers. I need to get some dark wood for the baff or buy some Lowthers. They have creme colored cones. Yesterday using the table saw I got a bit careless and have a few nice cuts to back it up. Won't do that again.
Lowthers are near and dear to my ears.
that was fast. Need to figure out which Lowthers
Timing is everything.
I have the PM2a drivers in Medallion cabinets and love them. They do require some care and feeding to perform at their best.
without a doubt and not a problem. I would love to tackle these.
Glad you have all your fingers. I almost did that too on my last speaker build. Looking great.
Subscribed. Did you ever get Lowthers?
I would also suggest if you haven't seen them yet, Scandinavian Audio Labs (SAL). Seems Nelson Pass likes them over his Feastrex. https://diyaudiostore.com/collections/loudspeaker-drivers/products/sal-08c08-loudspeaker-drivers
thanks for the link. Thinking about conical horns these days also or even exponential horns. Way over my head but need something to do.
