That's a later Rega woofer version isn't it? I thought the Royd versions had the 8-bolt round woofer as you showed above.

It's odd. Mine have the half fluted cabinet, but with the Royd woofer. Series 1.25 I think they call it? Couldn't find a pic of that configuration. The above seems the be the series 1.5, which case the same half fluted cabinet, but as you point out, With the Rega woofer.

I'm gonna have to clean mine up and take some pictures, but until then, this should give y'all an idea:

  6. I've got a pair of ELAs, but a later version. I believe mine are MKIIs. I bought them new in '94 or so.

Of all the speakers I own, these never cease to impress me when I go back to them. I recapped them with Solens a few years ago. I love their quickness and agility.

This is a "borrowed" pic from the interweb.

On second thought, he might not be a great fit, especially with the, "Let's Make Audio Fun Again" motto.

The old tweeters are VERY solidly in place. I was warned that might be the case. I didn't know how accurate that warning would be.

The recommended tweeter removal tool is a crochet hook. Oddly, I didn't have one in my tool box.
