My sentiments exactly Jesse @Pioneer Vato and thank you for catching us up on your progress. Take your meds! All that pain can slow your recovery.

Well, it sure is nice to hear you got a leg up on this Jesse - all the best in your recovery!

Something I think a lot about lately myself; getting old, burning the candle at both ends, probably don't always eat the way I should and not much time or motivation to exercise this time of year - have to watch for those warning signs.

I know it will take time and all the doctors and staff were impressed at how good I looked and getting around. Today I took my shower by myself. Funny how we take for granted the simple things we do day to day.

My right leg aches is still swollen and bruised from where they harvested the vein for the graphs. Have been sleeping in the Lay-Z-Boy since I got home because easier to get in and out to go pee. I look forward to sleeping in my bed again soon and doing more.

Nice to see you back home and back here posting again Jesse.

I can’t tell you how relieved I was to hear from Beth that you handled the surgery like a champ.

The surgical team was great. They met with my family and made them feel at ease. Shortly after they wheeled me into OR all I remember is a staff member was placing and adjusting an oxygen mask over my mouth and nose and that was it! The next thing I remember was coughing as they were pulling the oxygen tube out of my mouth! Not a pleasant experience but I don’t remember a thing! Surgery took 4 hours and all went well according to the surgeon.

I've had a few surgeries over the years (knee, knee, knee, knee, esophagus, colon biopsy), but nothing as invasive as 'crack-the-sternum-open-heart'. Glad your surgery was relatively uneventful (which is a good thing).

Glad your condition was discovered before it became critical, and also that you're surgery went well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
