Found my way here last evening while searching out info on SACD ripping and discovered that I'd come to the right place. I'm retired and have been an audiophile since buying a Fisher 500C receiver at the Subic Bay Navy Exchange in 1964. Spent a couple of years in the late 1970s doing high-end retail (Garland Audio, San Jose, CA), but spent the majority of my working years in employee and labor relations before wrapping up as a university athletics department IT administrator.
Owing to shared-living-space considerations, my "serious" listening these days occurs most often to rips and hi-res downloads on the bedroom system (#3, pictured front-and-rear in the thumbnail). I'm fortunate enough to have a spouse who tolerates the "esthetic sensibilities" I've demostrated in "decorating" the bedroom walls (as well as those in System #1's living-dining room).
