Ever wonder what a brand new WE 300B looks like?

Well, how about 9 of them! Helping a fellow clean up a bunch of old junk and we came across this box. I invited my buddy Kevin to come along on my next trip with his calibrated TUV tube tester. Now I was expecting that these were all pulls and would test weak but they turned out to be all NOS! This has to be the biggest stash of WE 300B tubes found in a long time. We are going to try and help him sell these as he really isn't into tube gear at all.
I know, pics or it didn't happen.
The third pic is some vintage hookup wire that I bought from him. The funky looking stuff in the TR corner is old lacing. 20190922_164712_resized.jpg20190922_164959_resized.jpg20190922_180410_resized.jpg

About what year would those be from? And as someone who neither can afford, nor has any real desire to, I'm still curious as to what they might sell for.

Eight of them have 1952 date codes and one has an engraved base dating it to the 30's or early 40's. Value? Probably between 2 to 3K apiece. with the engraved base one worth considerably more.
I can't afford to play in this league, so we are looking to help him sell this collection off in one lot. It wouldn't surprise me if they end up over sea's to some well healed audiophile.

There's a pair of engraved base WE 300B tubes on Tube Depot (yeah, I know, retail prices) that's $20k...

Zoinks!

'52 date codes, measure NOS with a good chance of making 4 matched pair with a 'bonus' engraved base from the 30s or 40s? I gotta think somewhere around 25-30K, maybe more with over-seas shipping.

Insane for almost everyone, but having heard good NOS WE300Bs from that era in a system that could get the best out of them, I almost get it. But then I almost get the McLaren P1 (maybe the McLaren M6GT is more appropriate here), I just know I'll never see one in my driveway. :)

WE124 !!! Very nice. Congratulations.
You going to keep it or cash in?
Planning on keeping it, figure this will be the only time I'll have a chance to spend a significant amount of time listening to something like this. It's being repaired currently, I'll write up a full post once I have it back.

Sweet amp, how plentiful are the 348A tubes? Looks like maybe some microphone input transformers on the far end?
