Your mission, should you choose to, well, care or know some options....

Box shaped is ok, though I'm looking for something that's either visually interesting or visually just super-basic/minimal (and white).

it's in a cool room (at least I think so). All primary colors. The stereo cabinet is white as is the wall behind it and blinds.
Interesting, huh? Here are a few 'interesting' speakers to consider:

ACI Sapphire III
Linaeum LFX
Spica TC-60 (probably a smidge too large)

-D

[EDIT] A set of Spica Angelus would certainly be quite the visually interesting speaker...

The Spika Angelus...I forgot about those! Those could actually work even though they don't fit the original criteria here.

You also got me thinking about another speaker...the Sony SS-m3. The smaller standmount in the family of my beloved SS-m7s.

The speakers currently in use in this setup are a pair of M&K Satellite 2B, that look like this but I keep the grilles on.

They are... ok. Of a time. I think mine are slightly earlier with that peerless (?) tweeter that Polk Monitor speakers had.

They make sound and have an interesting shape. I thought about painting them but really, their sound quality doesn't warrant that much attention. Honestly... I really don't like vintage speakers and I just need to accept it and stop buying any of them.

Hey Now,

Is cream white okay? Maybe a pair of these:

I have a pair (black) and enjoy them very much.

Finest kind,
Chris

Those look cool but are just a bit too small for the stands. I know, this whole effort is a bit backwards...stands first, then look, then sound quality.

I was thinking Sonus Faber Venere 2.0 (nice sound) but I think the swept-back cabinet shape is too narrow at the rear. (And the white ones still have a black baffle.)

I thought of those, too...but they might be a bit of overkill for this setup. A bit too much $$. It borders on being background music there. But I want something that's not nasty sounding.

It’s official. You are pickier than I sir! Congratulations. Your tin foil trophy awaits!

Walter at Underwood has several white Epos bookshelf models at pretty steep discounts if they will fit your size requirements.

Thanks, Jack. I had forgotten about Epos. The K1 in white could work..cutting it close in width but if I had to I could (ghasp) lay them on their sides. I like the white finish, it looks nice.

Those are all REALLY nice options, thank you. The B&Ws especially interest me.

Maybe I'll sell something to fund the higher end of the budget for this adventure.

Whelp, I made a purchase after running the options by my wife, who'll be spending most of the time with the speakers. Directly related to a pair of speakers I used to have and love....

Also I broke the 'must be white' pledge, but the shape and overall MCM vibe, despite them not being from the mid century, more than makes up for it.
