LED's lighting tubes isn't my favorite certainly. Some people love the look though.

I've made nightlights from 0d3's, or was it 0b3's, I can't recall, had a little photo sensor so it only turned on in the dark.... it wasn't super bright certainly, but it was glow'y (~esque, ~ish?).....
 
Finally, a use for a 6AL5. I quickly checked my stash and saw I had at least 16 of the little buggers. One of them appears to be a Mullard. I am sure I could come up with a lot more 7 and 9 pin plinkers for these lamps. Lots of tube rolling possibilities.

Dual diode; pretty commonly used as detectors in FM tuners, receivers and even sometimes radios -- at a time, for a time.
Guess they got some use in TVs, too.

My dog gave me the tube socks for Christmas but I’m pretty sure he used my wife’s credit card to do so. I’d be happy to wear scottie dogs socks for any occasion.

'Was afraid somebody would ask but ok, only because my dog is my best friend and gives presents to remind me of him when I'm away.
