I think it is odd that you go to a lot of time, effort and expense to knock back reflections but you have a gigantic resonator called a guitar potentially mucking up the sound. I don't mean to be harsh but I'm in a bit of a funk today and work is calling 💩

There really is something special there. The only other speakers that I can think of that are as musically and emotionally true are Harbeth.

Lotus Europa? Man, those things were tiny. You’ve seen me, so you can imagine why those have never been on my automotive radar. I bet that would be a hell of a lot of fun though.
How did your friend do?
Fewer than 100, from 1999 to 2001, most were exported. When we set up a new plant in 2001, we never tooled up to build it again.
Following that expensive build out, that was some dandy factory, the economic downturn following 9/11 pretty much cooked our goose.
Today, I have plans to revive the mark using edgy tech. Something like this - critically damped, dual band bass, 100x500x500x1KW onboard. We've run the mules, quite satisfying, so there's really no choice but to build 'em.
Nobody got hurt but that kid broke that car over and over. At the time I was building surfboards in my parents' basement, so was pretty good with f'glass. It always fell to me to put it back together.
But, yeah, your tailbone was separated from the road by 1/4" of fiberglass and 3" of air.
