Tim de Paravicini has Passed

Very sad, one of the best. My bedroom system was, for many many years, anchored by one of his lesser known amps, a Heybrook P2.

Listening to self-same amp at the moment. Sounds really quite incredible. I gather Paravicini was also responsible for quite a bit of Luxman's design as well, though I've no idea which pieces.

He designed some of their better known pieces from the late '70s early '80s. The M-(x)000 series including the big M-6000 amp, C-1000 preamp, and some of their tube amps...which is kind of openly critical of in this great interview:

I hadn't seen that article before. Very interesting.

Sad to lose one of the great minds, great ears, and great characters In audio. I had the distinct pleasure of listening to a lot of the higher ended E.A.R. Gear over the past few years, and it was always just wonderful.

'RIP, Mr de Paravicini. Thank you for so much beautiful music.

Tim de Paravicini innovatively applied his unique ideas to many audio delights. His theories proved accurate in all the products he was involved with. He will always be remembered as a sincere, audio mastermind...

Rest in Peace, Dear Tim de Paravicini.............................

Very sad news indeed.

R.I.P. Mr. de Paravicini. Also wishing God's comfort and blessing on family and friends left behind.

I very recently sold a couple of sets of TdP's early monoblock designs. Sadly, I never had the time to complete the project, so decided to let someone else carry the baton forward.

In remembrance of his mastery, I have shared some of Mr. De Paravicini's work here: - MENTMORE M-200 MONOBLOCKs.
[I sold 4 of these beasts - in near mint condition...]
