The C658? Dunno. Looks to be worth a try. Phono ins. Thanks, Pat
Nope, no Roon here. I tried it but Audirvana connected so much more easily.
I wonder if the NAD preamp with Dirac is easier to use?

Has the advantage of easy of use. Never a bad thing. The C658? Dunno. Looks to be worth a try. Phono ins.
I'm presently evaluating the SHD series with an eye towards bundling a complete turn-key solution, breaking the tired old "component" stereo mold. So, am I understanding correctly that you're refereeing to the MiniDSP Streamers that include Dirac, or are you refering to the Dirac upgrade box?
Yeah, great. Thanks. BluOS works and it's a Roon end point. Reasonable $Has the advantage of easy of use. Never a bad thing.
On second look, NAD C658....aaahhh... Dirac but no digital outs? That's astonishing. A processor that only outputs analog? I'll be shaking my head for a while. And there's something about sticking Dirac between an ADC and a DAC that gives me the heebie-jeebies.Has the advantage of easy of use. Never a bad thing.
That ain't a vent.NIce Pat! Woofer just shy of 10". I'm trying to figure out the puzzle. How does the lower woofer compartment channel to the top vent on the rear?
No more VBs for me, too messy. Good riddance. Now just critically damped CBs with gobs of boost via DSP and amp power.NIce Pat! Woofer just shy of 10". I'm trying to figure out the puzzle. How does the lower woofer compartment channel to the top vent on the rear?
You have a flair for understatement.Your building some cool stuff Pat.
You should hear that mid. It works like magic with the twin sixers in Kingfisher. Resolution-o-rama.
Love it!One thing's for certain: we'll destroy the crap out of the mids in those last century three ways, old tech hog-tied by passive bandpass filters.
Later in the week. There are several glue-cure operations in the way at one cycle a day. We couldn't figure out how to glue the guts in place during the first glue up because that operation was driven by the alignment of the square front edges - which absolutely must be perfectly coplanar - so we didn't want compromises with secondary issues like the situation guts. So we allowed them to just float in their housings, no glue, consequently we have to gravity flow PVA into the joints from several directions, one direction at a time. A pita, really, but so what, this ain't no production shop. When will they be getting drivers in them?
For a long time now, I've felt your idea of adequate bass, and my idea of adequate bass, are very different things.Later in the week. I keep having this naughty little feeling that these would make nice stands for them. Jeeze! I wish I could control myself.....it's awful, I know!
