Welcome Craig. Hopefully someone will come through for you soon. I have a pair of HR Shearwaters that I bought about 18 years ago and love to this day. I would consider the Herons if I ever find a pair at a reasonable price. I am sure that you love yours!
You will love these speakers highfell. Like Erik, I moved from the Kestrel HR to the Shearwater HR. Still have the shearwaters, still love them. I don’t remember the Kestrels having the foam tweeter ring. Regardless, the foam deteriorated on my shearwater tweeters so I replaced them with felt...

I had a pair of Kestrel HRs and then moved up to the HR Shearwaters. I agree with our PM: the Shearwaters are better in all aspects. They are still my speakers to this day and I still love their sound!

Yes! I really like his design philosophy. It just makes sense to me. Very similar to me liking Pat McGinty's design philosophy in speaker design. And their products produce wonderful sound! I only have one arm on my Interspace. Do you have two arms on yours Thermionics?
What kinda details are you looking for PM (besides my equipment list)? So far I have only had 3 amplifiers hooked up to the shearwaters; an Audiolab 8000A (60w/ch), a two box Pro-Ject class D (80w/ch) and my present Atoll IN200SE (120w/ch). The Atoll is great. It's only weakness is the display...
