So the booster is at this time not seen as essential for most people. However, it has been mentioned that it may be a good choice for those with health issues and compromised immune systems. I assume those in an advanced age bracket would benefit too.
I saw something yesterday that indicated unvaccinated is 25 times more likely to be hospitalized and of those, apx 25 times more likely to die. It’s so far outside of any grey area that to not get vaccinated at this point, you have to be living in an information silo nearly completely removed from science/reason, have no understanding of probabilities, have a death wish, or like my brother in law think you’re immune due to special treatment from the man upstairs.
I’m 60 and my daughter believes I am in the advanced age bracket because I’m generally between 10 to 15 years older than her friend’s parents. So I think I’ll qualify.
I have a close friend who is deep into homeopathic medicine and because it has helped her MS, she only pays attention to advice from that world… even though the MS correlation could be compete coincidence. She is actually part of the four person bubble we had in the worst of it. My good friend who is married to her says they’ve fought so much about it that it’s harmed their marriage. She’s more left than right - but exists in her own misinformation bubble. She just cherry picks outlier opinions from grifter quacks, and there’s no convincing her otherwise.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. If you want out of Covid, get vaccinated and turn off the news. The degree to which they’ve overhyped this thing as it relates to vaccinated people should be criminal. They’re grinding the US to a halt for clicks. Yes it’s very dangerous to the unvaccinated- yet every story is about “breakthrough” cases. That don’t kill you. That for the vast majority feel like nothing or a light cold.
This is the the anti-vaxxers best friend. There is no one or Nothing doing more now to hurt the cause of vaccination then the media.
When the real story is that if you want about a 97% better chance of staying out of the hospital and a close to 100% chance of not dying from Delta - just get the freakin jab already like a billion other people who’ve not had serious side effects from it.
