My new listening is a combo of bare walls, floor to ceiling glass, and hardwood floors. Not perfect for sound reproduction!
Any recommendations for the best type of carpet to use to help with the floors? Looking at a carpet between the speakers and the listening chair.
Well, that’s pretty lazy. You take off for six months, don’t post in the interim, and then you show up and want us to do all the work? I figure you owe us at least a few paragraphs about what you have been doing. :)
well, thats a guy with some bad luck, as those are statistically two of the most reliable cars available. The Volt for years had the highest customer satisfaction of any car.
I don’t know what me driving a Ford has anything to do with it. This car is a Ford, the one before that was a Dodge...
Did you get the shiny one? Probably only time in history that you will have something more sparkly then me.
Did you get the matching Merkur brush? The set looks lovely, though be prepared for some shedding at first.
I didn’t get a chance to listen much today, but the very unscientific comparison I did showed it to be a good step up over the very nice dac built into the Node 2.
Do you recall if yours did any breaking in?
I was actually hunting for another North Star, preferably a few steps up the line. They just don’t come up for sale very often. The guys I’ve talked to who have had them, especially the Totl Supremo, say some version of they will never sell it.
I stupidly sold it. Well, it wasn’t stupid at the time, what with moving going on, and knowing I’d be without a system for many months. In retrospect, it was stupid, however. I’ve never heard more musical DACs then Northstar.
