Primer and sand. You will get a smoother finish with less grain. Latex should be fine. But the knots may be an issue. I painted my uncles 60s house in Mill Valley, which had old knotty pine T&G ceilings. The knots bled thru something fierce. Had to get a specific oil based product to keep...

Well my bugscreen is not full of gunk. Nor have I empirically tested them individually. My hearing has a slight dip at 4k, and I am 60. You dont have to listen to anything I say. Ever.

I asked Bill @ GPA and he was adamant it made no difference. I have one 604 with a screen and one without. I can't hear a difference.

I love my 752. Have had it for 15 years and had it fully serviced by Roger Kennedy before he got ill and his service went downhill. Still functions brilliantly.
