PlayStation 5: Man forced to sell his PS5 after wife discovers it's not an air purifier
I've used the "No, I've had this for years" bit but I've not tried the "useful device for the household" routine.
There's a pair of 604-8G's in cabinets for $1500 here in London Ontario on Canuck. The pics show non-ported cabinets but the drivers look perfect. Not mine or anyone I know. I don't think I've seen raw drivers for that low a price for some time.
I have an Ortofon Jubilee that is currently not in use. I bought this in 2002 and only used it sporadically so it has relatively low miles and I'm thinking the suspension is probably OK. It was never a daily driver but the stylus is past it's prime and I don't like seeing a high end cart sitting...
Can Audirvana + show simple file lists without album covers being displayed?
I would like to be able to view things in a windows like format because many of the albums I have have no metadata and hence no pics of the albums or extra info available.

I recently got a new Subaru Impreza 5 door and an LG V20 phone. Wow! I have incredible sound with the factory 400 watt (?) Harmon Kardon system in the car and the phone with the quad DAC. I also picked a $4 phone mount for my bicycle that works like magic. So I now have absolutely amazing sound...
I've been a tube guy for most of the last 30 or 40 years but I've recently had an uncomfortable awakening. I've owned most of the high priced spreads, done the DIY thing in the most advanced manner, and yet.... I still kept an open mind.

I've read a number of opinions on silver wire, connectors and contacts over the years and one thing that is often mentioned is the relatively innocuous electrical properties of silver oxide. This seems to me to be a bit of a diversion as silver doesn't oxidize readily. It does tarnish as a...
Has anyone compared a current step up phono pre to a conventional voltage step up device? Michael Fremer reviewed the MR Labs VERA 20 MC Phono Preamplifier that uses current amplification from the cart. I'm just curious as I'm looking at step up transformers and a phono stage. There is also a...
Haven member SPL db mentioned Jim Smith's book, Get Better Sound, in another recent thread. According to Mr. Smith, having no equipment or other furniture between your speakers is the easiest and most effective improvement you can make to your system. He goes on to suggest that removing the...
A time for everyone to eat tacos, drink tequilla, watch Three Amigos and listen to at least one Mariachi album. I love it when people from other countries make a holiday their own:biggrin:
