I don't know if it is a regional thing but I just want to stop the Liberty,Liberty ads for insurance...most of them are absolutely inane and intellectually insulting. What is amazing is how ubiquitous they are for so many years now and how anyone would buy insurance from them after being so...
As the OP I am so sorry I ever posted this! It is my fault for being so naive as to what would happen. Sadly, I think I may be the only one here who has benefitted because it has been incredibly instructive to me (in a you stupid fool way) to see what is going on...not who's right or wrong...
Just to answer your question his comments were specifically to pontificate that if you are 21 and healthy he (being the medical expert he is) would not advise you to get the vaccine. He claims he is not an Anti-vaccination advocate but gave this advice. I personally knew a heathy 40 year old who...
@Wntrmute2 ...sounds like a good PR department press release from Spotify to me, but I very sincerely do appreciate your adding factual content to enlighten this discussion. I guess I just know too many who have died before there was a vaccine so I'm very sensitive to this issue, one of them 40...
I'm modifying my post to make it clear that this is my opinion and certainly want no disagreement with members here. I just want to make people aware of the type of values Spotify makes money from.
@jblnut you're right I'm sure the library carries lots of fascist, racist and other types of...
Neil Young just removed his music from Spotify as he challenged them to remove Anti-vaccination liar Joe Rogan.. they chose Rogan. I'm boycotting Spotify forever...no joke...there are other options and no skin off my nose...I hope many other artists remove their music. JMTC.
Moderators if this...
The last time I heard any rock music at a HiFi show was the MBL room where they weren't afraid to play music people brought or Rock and it was ELP...sounded incredible! They have nothing to fear like some manufacturers because the quality of their products is so high.
Don't mean to sound like...
I think I need another year to feel comfortable but truthfully a knee replacement surgery in March will give me no choice. I'll definitely be ready to kick a** next year like I used to. To the manufacturers I wish them the very best! Just a bit of advice...play some real music not just the...
This is a wonderful thread...thank you..but the links are expired..
When the Dead played Englishtown NJ I slept out for a couple of days and a day after as well ( the local yokal gas station towers stole my pals car and then raped his parents monetarily..I was 16) recording the whole thing...
That's a guy named Robin who is well known to the high end Stereophonics etc. crew. Super friendly guy but a salesman supreme...it was at his house that I heard the $3-4k +. Mpingo record clamp and that crazy metal bowl/cymbal. He now has a nice showroom too in Pa and there are a couple of YT...
A Bryson Pre Amp for the early 2000s ( I forget the model)..it was here and gone in an hour..horrid!
The VPI Scout I had was disappointing also, and that I spent a ton of time on trying to improve...maybe just not my cup of tea.
I've also got one of these lafayette tweeters, and custom supertweeter pairs and Coral (Calrad) horn style tweeters..
here's a pair of my custom tweeters..
I must admit, I have a thing for supertweeters..
I've got an early T35 tweeter in vintage crinkle green. I have a pair but one is ever so slightly fuzzy . It would have to be in a week or so for a photo as I'm not with the tweeter...I'll look for pic in my computer and if I have it I'll post here.
@BillWojo Hey Bill...it's Chris (Supercool!).. Been a while and I hope you've been well!
I can't agree more about ARC , and the build quality is really off the charts..I think for sure as I sell off much of the mid level vintage gear in my collection, I'll have space to play with ARC and some...
@JohnVF I couldn't agree more..there is also a strong brainwashing machine at work...hence Adele releasing a record is reported as news while other equally important releases are never mentioned. It's even built in to our auto correct programs that will recognize spelling of major artists names...
@JohnVF
Not sure I get your post. What I was trying to say and probably wasn't clear on is that this was a promising event since the Tool CD both pushed the limits of artistic CD packaging (having the video screen and content) and had artistic integrity or serious intent. I hope that makes sense.
In 2019 Tool knocked Taylor Swift out of the #1 sales spot on the Billboard charts and sold over 600,000 copies of Fear Inoculum, a very special CD qualitatively and one redefining the medium using a high def video integrated in the case in the deluxe edition. Not sure of the caveats on sales...
