A Get Well Present for Deli

Hey folks.
Our fellow member and friend Deli is dealing with some health issues now. I thought it might be nice to just get him something to help pass the time, and also let him know we are thinking about him. Maybe an album or two? An album and a book? Nothing too extravagant, as he is a humble guy, but just a little something. How about $5 each?

Also any thoughts on some music he might like? An audio related book?

I'm pretty krappy at picking great records - not much knowledge, I'm more of a "poke and hope" kinda guy. I'm happy to kick in some funding.

Feinman's autobiographies are a perennial favorite in audio communities too :)

Can I toss in my fiver? Who do I send it to?

Great idea! I always wonder what happens to some of our haven brethren when they are active and then go silent. Five spot sent. Good looking out!

Past discussions with Paul indicate that his taste in, and knowledge of, music may rival our legendary friends, Eric and Edwin. Both broad and deep.
Nonesuch, Third Man, Big Legal Mess Records, True North Records, and Fat Possum Records have very interesting, if less well-known music, as well as legacy artists. (I used to buy from 4 Men With Beards, but they've been suffering from QC issues) Perhaps a gift certificate for a seller that has both books and music.

Actually, here is a book I enjoyed, very much.
A must read for fans of the Blues.

I'd rather take the chance and something more tangible if we can. If we pick well, he is sure to like it. And even if it's not to his taste, a well written book is still a pleasure.

Plus, it will always have meaning for him, as something chosen for him by friends.

Further to your label choices, have they released any truly killer sounding records recently? Anything that had people raving?
