At the time it was about 100umm thick on Nickel on Copper and was about £150.
The review got a few things wrong, the chassis was copper and so was the knob all gold plated.
The solder was Cadmium based to stop gold migration. Nasty nasty stuff and the melting point was 400C it also contain Silver. So today the joints will still be as new. The internal heatsink brackets normally Aluminium were also Copper and Gold plated, a wee bit OTT me think,
