Not optimal cabinets at all (about 1/2 the required internal volume), but given I spent all of $40 for these Craigslist cabinets, certainly cost-effective. Also far too small of a space, and probably not the right amplification (PP 7591). But, still...damn.

They actually look pretty cool in a utilitarian kinda way. Have you tried tilting them back a little or are planning to get ‘em up off the ground?

Looks like you need to lift those Duplexes up with a pair of bass cabinets!

Oh yes. Better treble and way better imaging.

I'm a bit torn, though - I'm not sure which has it more tonally correct - the 604 or the 414z/32c/808-8b. They are both so good.
A pretty awesome problem to have. @marantzfan mentioned something very similar in his description.
Moved some bookshelves out of the office and have room to space and angle them out a bit. Even better imaging (kinda scary). Also put in a temporary JBL sub to augment the low end. Results were very satisfactory. Oh I also ventured into the last quarter of volume and wow!; concert level loud and zero distortion!

I'm glad to hear you are having such good luck! The Hsu I'm using does a great job as well in filling in the lower registers.
