I was wondering about maybe HDMW? Can it be used for 3D printing?Ive seen 3d printers use some sort of resin and brass mix, i imagine that could sound pretty good

The cabinet looks like it was inspired by the Altec Madrid (scroll to the bottom of the pdf). This is not 100% my cup of tea but is a fresh implementation of a 9849-style domestic speaker: Altec Two Way.
So I am finally putting together my 601C build. The Altec network for them is the N-3000-E. The attenuators on mine are broken so I need to do something about it. With some adjustments to get a 3000 crossover point will the JELabs crossover work for these?
I don’t have hands-on experience with the 601C.
So I searched and found this reverse engineered N3000E XO schematic at Lansing Heritage.
Given the high mortality rate of 3000 tweeters (which AFAIK can’t be repaired) using this crossover, my suggestion is to build around this XO schematic and choose a smaller value C1 (by ear) that will not cause too much depression in the crossover region.
There's an N3000G (890A/B w/3000 tweeter) XO on eBay right now and looking at the pictures, it seems like the 406Z woofer was also operated in wide range mode. IME, 406Z and -8Y play very cleanly unfiltered on the top end just like a 414.Okay, that's where I was as well and will insert your advice on the smaller value C1. Thanks a bunch for looking into it. As you likely experienced there isn't much out there regarding the N-3000 series of networks and the 601C. I will do a separate thread as I have MiniDSP capability as well.
I failed to mention, I have a set of N-3000F here as well. Ill post on my old 601C thread now including a schematic for it I found that I believe Zilch did. There's an N3000G (890A/B w/3000 tweeter) XO on eBay right now and looking at the pictures, it seems like the 406Z woofer was also operated in wide range mode. Hey that leaves me 63k for cabinets.And... if you wanted to build your own with original parts, these would get you halfway there:
With a pair of WE 713's and WE 32 horns it could be done for less than $10k. Not including a cabinets and you may have to "cheat" on the coils. And cones and diagrhams are always a "thing" with this old of vintage.

I'll do it for $60,000!Hey that leaves me 63k for cabinets.
You cabinet whore you .... 😅I'll do it for $60,000!
I believe it is a very short (like 1/4' or less) screw. I can't tell you what thread size it is without disassembling my 753c's, but I'm guessing it is a #8.Does anyone know what type and size screw/bolt (looks more like it would have been a wood screw to me) is missing on myAaltec 32c? Im missing the screw on both of them so cant compare unfortunatly.
Im guessing it will ve an imperial size.
Thanks!

Thanks very much for that, ill try and find some no. 6 screws, i expect ill have to find a metric equivalent i think m3 - 3.5.Here's the screw from my 32C on the left. On the right is a panhead #8/32 5/8":

So it may be a #6.
