The C version is some sort of injection moulded plastic, its prob not that strong (altec added extra support on later Cs) im not sure it secures anything but i suspect it adds a bit of strength to where the drivers attach, i think mine were missing when i got them maybe 7 years ago and no sign of a problem. Touch wood. But what structure does it secure?
32A were cast metal, not injection-molded plastic, so they probably were not needed.I just looked at my 32As and there is no opening for that screw. Hmm...
That looks like it, I got mine on eBay though, it’s 1/4”Cellulose Wadding - Versa-Pak™, Kraft in Stock - ULINE
Is it just this stuff? looks like 1/4" or 1/2" thick.
...is it crap? The crap that is used in the upholstery world these days is crap
Yes, double crappy crap....is it crap?
Same, that’s all I’ll use now. Even thinking of using it for sound treatment panels.I had decent luck with denim insulation from Home Despot. Not sure if it is still available, though.
Definitely less itchy than fiberglass.Same, that’s all I’ll use now. Even thinking of using it for sound treatment panels.
