I'm pretty sure Olson and I will be driving in so I can't help you from the airport but you could ride with us. Speaking for Olson of course.

I like dogs, but not as travel companions. (I have a similar opinion about babies, too.)

I checked and the plane is not a 737, haha. (Or not haha.)

The latest Paul's Post mentions a demo of one of PS Audio's upcoming speakers - the AN3 at Axpona this year. The room is on ground floor near registration. I'd be interested to hear any comments if y'all can check it out.

PS Audio? Not Audio Note? I saw the AN designation and thought “I’m in”. But I’ll be sure and see the PS Audio too. I love their stuff.

Here's an excerpt from the newsletter that has a brief description of the AN3.

"Standing just a little under 51 inches tall, 15 inches wide, and 23 inches deep, this 4-way hybrid is all performance from top to bottom. Sporting two custom AMT tweeters, one in front and the other on the rear, we cross over to a lightning fast 10" planar ribbon midrange, then on to a powered and user adjustable 8" midbass coupler to handle this critical frequency band, and finished off with a dollop of DSP based servo powered subwoofer reaching for the basement notes through a high-excursion 12" beast hidden in the cabinet's side. And, with a built-in 700-watt amp for the sub (with room correction) along with a 300-watt amp for the midbass, the AN3 can easily be driven to concert levels with just about anything from a small tube amplifier to what we use, the BHK Monoblocks."

I'll be there Friday from opening until 4. Any suggestions for must-sees in the few hours I'll have there?

If I was on short time, I'd be sure to hear DeVore Fidelity - wonderful speakers. But I just checked the exhibitor list and I don't see him listed?

(Sorry, that's not very helpful...)

If I were there I'd want to hear the new Audio Note (AN) TT3 turntable. Many years ago I heard the old TT3 which was basically a Voyd Reference turntable and it was then the best turntable I'd ever heard. But AN bought out Voyd and began making them under their own company - but the manufacturer building the motors (3 motor turntable) closed.

Now AN has come out, after seemingly a decade of working on it, their version with their own from the ground up manufacturing of them - including their own tonearms and carts. I understand it will be at Axpona. If true then it will also be at the California Show in July so I will have a chance to hear one.

I also understand that there will be three versions ranging from $7,500 to $13,000 Which is a LOT of money but considering the old Voyd TT3 was over $10,000 in the 1990s these new ones might actually be a bargain.

Devore is in the same ballpark sonically as the Audio Note E.

I'd also check out Pure Audio Project, The AudioFederation room with Acapella speakers, if these two are showing at Axpona.

It sort of depends on your personal budget and what you are looking for - I mean MBL is great but their speakers start at $20,000US so unless you're in that or ever going to be in that budget - I probably would not spend tons of time in those rooms.

RossoFiorintino does not come to many shows and will be at this one and have more sanely priced offerings that sounded very good in Hong Kong and the finishes are usually very nice as well.

Gershman Acoustics and Spatial Audio will be there and both sound great and both have sanely priced offerings.

If I were going, I'd be looking at analog stuff, and Harbeth (of course). I see Pure Fidelity is listed :patriot: . They're based in Vancouver, and reviewed here. Nice compact turntables. Not cheap mind you, but what is these days ? Also Audio Note, and Charisma Audio. Loudspeakers - Ryan and Sonist would be on the list. And why not Wharfedale with a resurrected Linton. For lottery grade stuff probably Magico.

There is a link for new products on the website; for @JohnVF there is a new Primare phonostage.

I'd also check out Mofi, Elusive Disc, and Acoustic Sounds for vinyl deals.

I believe that would be the Primare R35. It looks to be more adjustable than the R32, but I'm so happy with the R32 that I don't feel that I need it...I use it with a SUT anyway. I absolutely love it, one of the best purchases I've made. I think Primare deserves a lot more talk than they get. The matching preamp I had was as good as many much much more expensive options I tried.
