I purchased my 19’s new back in 1977, and have totally enjoyed them thru the years, but I also have 604’s in 620b cabinets, and they have been a joy also. I have never thought of my 19’s as being “awful”, but more like a event every time I listen to them.

I like my 19's. I prefer them to previous speakers that I've owned including Harbeth 40.2's and Dynaudio Confidence C4's, neither of which I would classify as "awful".

A friend has Harbeth 40s and they're the best dynamic direct radiators I've heard. Maybe RCA LC-1s and Martin Logan and SoundLab electrostats are better direct radiators. Maybe. My opinions of course.
