I retired (unwillingly … downsized out and didn’t have it in me to find a new job at 64) in August. Started doing some fairly lucrative consulting work in my industry this year, so I figured the stars aligned enough for me to make a splurge purchase. And of course I had to get the wife to buy in, which I finally managed to do. Anyway, I wanted another roadster to replace the Miata I used to own a few years back. Never owned a BMW, so the Z series cars were calling my name. Picked up this 2003 Z4 2.5i with 37K miles this past week. 5 speed with a pretty complete list of options. Runs like a top and is pretty clean, although I do plan a full paint correction as soon as the weather in WI cooperates. Have only driven it about 50 miles to get it home, and it’s killing me to stare at it sitting idle in my garage. I hate winter.
