CAF Capital Audiofest 2025 this Friday

I'll be in room 825 demoing an old Stellavox tape deck and a new turntable. Speakers are Prana Fidelity, Amplification is by Merrill Audio and the Table is Klaudio.

Wondering if any other Havenites are planning on attending?

Had fun in the La Dolce room with an 8 watt current drive tube amp (only one I know of) and their kit speaker ($4K). It has 2 18 inch drivers per channel in an open baffle, crossed to a mid horn with open back and a compression driver in an omni configuration. Only 2 caps for the crossover. The room number was 814, right around the corner from our room.

Got a standing ovation after the tape played.

The Charney room was fascinating as well. Giant back loaded horn with a Voxativ driver and a 2 watt tube amp. Really very fine and 'happening' sound with good bass extension. We are headed back there tomorrow morning before we pack up our room. This will be a delight, as we have a 900 pound equipment rack! Amps look be inspired by AudioNote (at least there were lots of AN caps).
