Jim Clark Audio is about an hour from my house and I've never heard of him before. Looks like it's too late anyway. He also seems to be a legitimate audio dealer that was obviously deeply involved with Bob. Hopefully as I said before, this 275 was a bump in the road. There are a lot of claims out there and the only person without crimson hands (see what I did there?) seems to be Jim.
I know this horse has been beat to death but I was there for the beginning of it as seen through the lens of Audiokarma membership.
As I remember the thread there started with Franky Malitz posting a multi paragraph long screed about the new Carver Crimson 275, and how "high end" manufacturers like Rolls Royce and Rolex were begging them to display at the most posh trade shows for the richest people on earth. How the Bob Carver corporation was redefining luxury lifestyle branding and had become the envy of "high end" manufacturers everywhere.
It was really something else.
I can't say honestly where it lands in the chronology of manufacturing>product introduction>fact finding> embarassment...
I highly recommend searching it out and reading it.
Its good for a belly laugh.
It reads like the writing of someone who just put an entire handful of Columbian marching powder up their schnozz.
Very entertaining stuff.
