Clip leads, plywood, and woofers, oh my

The front baffle is v shaped, an attempt to deal with reflections from the main speakers and not send them directly to the listening position.

Ahh, makes total sense. That's similar to what I'm thinking I'll do. I sketched a few ideas on paper last night. Hopefully I'll start making a quick prototype before too long.

Shouldn't you be in the shop? It's not like it's hot and humid down there or anything :D

Headed there now, just got home from work. Might get it all glued up sometime tomorrow.

Very nice, excited to read your thoughts once you get some listening time.

Definitely worth the effort.
Theses complement my 825 /416 8a very nicely.
My thoughts were that being very similar drivers they would blend in tone and dynamics.
The open baffle sound really fills the room too, the whole thing got bigger and just more real, and more added detail, and the whole thing blends seemlessly.
Drums are really dynamic now, bass guitar has wonderful texture and tone.
I now need to work on turntable isolation and set up, but maybe that's a good problem to have...
