DSP in the RaspberryPI/DAC chain

I would like to start exploring what DSP will help me within within my system My Khorns in my smaller room would likely benefit from it.

How are others integrating DSP in the chain of your system? In this system right now I am streaming via RaspberryPI to a Ares II DAC via USB and I really don't want to mess with the high level of performance I have with that including the USB connection between the Pi and the DAC etc. My CD player has balanced out to my DAC as well.

From MiniDSP there are two units to consider but I am uncertain how they would actually integrate effectively
DDRC-24 after the DAC
DDRC-22D

Or is it best to just go with a parametric equalizer inserted somewhere after the DAC and use REW?

If that RPi is running Moode 7, there is a choice of both Parametric and Graphic EQ in the software (MPD) domain that you might at least try out: Configure ➞ Audio ➞ Equalizers.

I've yet to try them, however I already do bass correction between preamp and subs using a DSPeaker Anti-mode 2.0, and in that room I use the Sonore microRendu, and not Raspberry Pi/Moode.
