That’s so cool. I’ve been following English Accoustics on FB since before they launched. Such a cool idea and company.

They started off restoring Leak Stereo 20 amplifiers, and now make their own version. They have departed from the one color fits all scheme (gold) Leak used and offer them in a bunch of really vibrant colors.

I clearly have been living under a rock. Wow! I’ll have to look more into this company, kind of GPA’ish in carrying on a great legacy/product.

Thank you everyone. I have had an English Acoustics Stereo 21c here for about a month. It is glorious.

@BillWojo and I were working on putting together another listening session here at my home but it seems this damn plague is headed for a resurgence of sorts...so not sure if I'm ready to open the house to a large group, but hopefully soon.

We have been insanely busy lately but I will create a Hifi Haven exclusive incentive for active members. Its amazing that we started this company 3 years ago, and actually started with it seriously full time only 11 months ago! We have some amazing brands and feel truly blessed.

The Goldring consumer website will launch in Sept and you will all get a special promo code.

A little over a week ago I stopped by Steve's house and while there I had a chance to see the new English Acoustics Stereo 21c in Steve's listening room. It really is a beautiful high quality amp. Very much like the original Leak Stereo 20 amp. From looking at the website it even uses the same turret board construction as the original Leak amp. If I had one I'd be tempted to remove the bottom plate and mount the amp with a mirror below so that you could see that. It's industrial art at it's best.
Next time when I'm not so hurried I hope to get to listen to it.
I talk to Steve about once a week and it's amazing how his company is growing. It's been a lot of hard work on his part and he took a big risk going full time with it. For those that know Steve, it's his passion for HiFi that drives him. This forum is lucky to have him as a member.
As soon as it looks like it's doable, a listening session will be held and I hope that some of you can attend. It's always a fun time. Bringing stuff to swap or sell will be apart of it as well.

If I didn’t already own an ST20 I’d definitely be looking to buy a 21c. Shoot, I’d be curious to still hear one and A/B it against my 20. The color options are stellar too!

To musiqlovr,
Who supplies your iron ( transformers/chokes ) for your version of the amps.
AND, who supplies the valves that you use?.

Best regards,

Joe

He's just the importer... and he's in Europe for Munich Hifi right now. But according to English Acoustics FB page they get their iron custom from Majestic Transformer Co:

"We use Majestic Transformer Co transformers made locally (Dorset) to us here in Wiltshire England a company with a worldwide reputation for high quality audio transformers with decades of experience. These transformers are of the highest quality, hand made, replicating stereo 20 transformers perfectly."
