Flower Pics

I may have posted this before, but it's another year and these are new blooms.

Weird Tulip !

I don't recall if this came from the bulbs from Holland, or the Canada 150's, but it looks nothing like either of those. Pointy petals, which I'm not used to seeing in tulips. Nice red though.

Thanks to my hifi (and beyond hifi) buddy @forkliftman15 we obtained a bargain-priced array of field grown tulips from a farm in Rhode Island (?!!) last fall. They did pretty well this spring, in spite of the local fauna's appetite for destruction tulips ;) We used a variety of dissuasive additives in a valiant attempt to, umm, dissuade the maurading hordes of quadrupeds -- with some success.

Herewith, a coupla photos (couple-three... or so...) of some of the tulips.

Those are some beauties right there.

The lilac we have has been here longer than we have. It used to reside in one of the corners in the back yard, and I relocated it to the front about 15 years ago. Some years it's good, some years not. This year would be the former. Last year was lots of foliage, not many blooms. Now the opposite. It's right around 11' tall now.

There are some amazing images in this thread! :)

Here's a not-great photo, but I noticed these wildflowers (or invasives, as the case may be) growin' out front near the driveway. Several clusters of them, in fact.
I don't recognize them at all. Anyone? Bueller?
