I have the following items for sale. Asking prices based on very recent ebay sold items. Will consider offer but not lowballs especially if I have to take the trouble to do my usual superb job of packing and schipping.

1) Mission Electronics CD player .Model is PCM 4000 An early audiophile , and collectible CD player. Has the Phillips CDM2 european made CD drive.
The whole thing is labeled made in Belgium and the date code is from the fall of 1986. The lubricants have been freshened and it comes with a spare belt for the drive eject mechanism. It seems to work perfectly. It didn't come with a remote and I don't think it ever had one(Edit no it didn't there is a window but nothing installed. TDA 1541 DAC and SAA7220P/A digital processor (I think) Asking $150.

2) Pioneer TX 9500 II FM stereo tuner with SAW filter (Surface Acoustic Wave) Pioneer Silver . Excellent condition seems to work perfectly. Comes with Pioneer pull sheet, schematic and original instructions. I bought new in 1976. Clean one owner. Asking $250.

3) Pioneer JA- R101 Rack Shelf with handles Excellent condition asking $300

4) Carver C-1 preamp with "sonic holography" whatever the fuck that is. I got this from an audiophile friend who died. It was working when he passed away. I have never hooked it up. Cosmetically excellent. One previous owner, never update or recapped or anything. asking $225

5) Kinetic Systems Incorporated Vibraplane bench top float table system. Consists of a new in the box KSI 2212-03-11
Specifications for Vibration Control Platform with vertical isolation, Active-Air, low profile
Vibraplane Platform | Sound Of Silence
I will strap it to a pallet and also include all the leg work I have done to get it working namely 1) a small nitrogen cylinder which should keep it floating for a very long time like years if you don't use it as a dance platform 2) a two stage regulator to go between the tank and the float table. 3) a Bretford (they make professional AV cabinets for schools and industry) 2 foot by 3 foot table on casters which fits this float table perfectly. I have obtained some nice looking locking non marring casters to fit this. I will install these. The table is currently knocked down. It is used. If it doesn't sell I am going to paint over the beige with white. It will all be carefully packed and strapped to a pallet. The Nitrogen tank is empty. It can't be shipped full. You can get it filled at any welding place.
I will pack it carefully for safe arrival. The vibraplane in its original factory shipping container. never used. NOS Pix available. Asking $2000
Shipping weight abou 250 plus lbs. I just touched base with Kinetic Systems and the current MSRP for this unit is $3000. My price includes the table, regulator, tank and casters.

6) Pair of RCF L8L 750 aka EAW 804054 or LC 0875 8" high power mid bass speaker
RCF L8l750 8" Mid Range 16 Ohm EAW 804054 Lc-0875 for sale online | eBay
L8L 750.jpg
On ebay they go for like $90 each. I will sell the pair for $120. Used excellent condition.

7) Dyna Stereo 120 with one channel blown. Includes Original Dyna Manual. This is a late Stereo 120A with nice black paintwork and good chrome. Factory built. Includes some of the transistors and also some internet reprints on how to repair it. I decided I don't want to bother.
It used to drive the LE 10 in my monsters before I got the Quad 405 current dumping amp. The frequency range feeding that driver was 125 to 100 for which it worked great. There is lots of data on repairing this amp online. Asking $100 to pack carefully and all the extrys.

8) Dyna Stereo 400 in good condition (I think I haven't plugged it in yet) with Dyna Energy Storage system C100 which is a plug in extra capacitor bank. Very rare. Asking $600 with bank and will check it before consummating sale. Will bring it up on variac. One previous owner same guy who had the Carver.

All items are as is where is. Sales final. Buyer pays all shipping charges and any paypal fees incurred.

Does this have the TDA1540 DAC?

Most of the shit these days is, but thats a bit older, so maybe its something. I think we can both agree its something. ;)

I wouldn't agree. I think Bob Carver sold a lot of nothing very often. He also sold some something too. But which is which.
I am pretty sure SH falls into the nothing category. I am not going to try it out.

Once upon a time the guy who helped me build my speakers and I spent about two afternoons doing blind testing for each other on the
"Denon Phono Cross Talk Canceller" which went after your phono preamp in the tape monitor circuit. It was supposed to reduce phono crosstalk
and give better imaging.

We both wanted it to work great in the worst possible way. We really shook it out. In the end after wasting a saturday and a sunday afternoon we were both very pissed off. It just didn't do a damn thing. It was completely fraudulent. I do not intend to make that misteak ever again.

It was out about the same time. All seventies and eighties stuff. I think my same friend had a Carver preamp that had SH and said it did nothing. I was a different model than the C1 which otherwise is probably a pretty good preamp.

BTW when I said something, I meant it as we dont give a *&$# what it means. Your response was thoroughly impressive though.

Did you ever read up on it?

The most recent time when I tried my bullsheet alarms were started going off so fast I didn't get very far.
I think it falls into the same category as the crosstalk canceller as well as various reverb gadgets that were supposed to simulate different halls

Do you prefer

Gene”been there, done that”_StL

or

Gene_”been there, done that”StL

as my nickname for you? :)

You made it farther than me.

Loud and clear.

What model # for the Mission? Thanks.

I had a dump-find Carver CD player with something called "Digital Time Lens". It was a button.
If you pushed it, it sounded a little different. If you pushed it again, it sounded a little the same.
I think in some far-flung reach of the Universe, there was a complete upheaval in space-time whenever I pushed the button.
But I cannot confirm that.

The Mission Electronics is a PCM 4000. It has the CDM2 cd mechanism and TDA 1541 D/A cheep and also a SAA7220P/A digital processor (I think that is what it does.) There is a guy in Poland I think who calls hisself Lampizator who loves all this vintage of gear and mods it.

Ah yes the Digital Time Lens. I think Bob Carver got and gets a big laugh out of messing with audiophiles.

It was suppose to do electronically what Polk SDA speakers did acoustically.
Which it turns out is the same thing that DSP is attempting to do in programs like Acourate and AudioLense.

Likely the TDA1541-S1 "Single Crown" version was used in the PCM 4000, so desirable to this day for 16-bit applications that they are actively counterfeited in Asia. The real McCoy:

14834

There was also an S2 "Double Crown" version, however the S7 Septuple Crown counterfeit below was not ever a thing, except in fantasy land:

GLWTS - that's an oldie but goodie CD player.
