I like to strip the wire and apply some solder then bend a hook for screw connections.Who's found some nice spade connectors they'd recommend?
I'm getting used to it.As usual -- I blame @Redboy.
anyone care to comment on the merits of extension cord as speaker cable? i recall a home depot model also being touted.I like the Duelund, Belden 9497 and Woods Yardmaster extension cord (Walmart).
I have the Woods Yardmaster cable that I made some speaker leads with. I like them. Honestly, I really don't know how they fare against fancy big buck speaker leads but they sound as good as most affordable cables.anyone care to comment on the merits of extension cord as speaker cable? i recall a home depot model also being touted.
thanks for the input. did you terminate the ends or just use bare?I have the Woods Yardmaster cable that I made some speaker leads with. I like them. Honestly, I really don't know how they fare against fancy big buck speaker leads but they sound as good as most affordable cables.
I have tried them both ways. I prefer to use a good quality banana clip. I have also taken the white cover off of them and made twisted pair and bi-wire set ups as well. The most expensive speaker leads I own are the Morrow Audio SP3 (3 meter) that retail for around $300 or so and I don't know if the Woods are any worse.thanks for the input. did you terminate the ends or just use bare?
