Greetings .......

I guess that I'm a "Dedicated Acoustical Instrument (Mostly Classical & other genres performed in Halls, Auditoriums or other Live Listening Perspective venues) music listener. As such I'm not so sure I'd agree with today's generally accepted definition of what constitutes "High Resolution Music". By the same token I don't ascribe to the belief that "bits are bits"; Whatever that means !!!) . I suppose that my music listening preferences started about 30yrs ago when a small independent Pharmacist (Here in South New Jersey, USA) introduced me to the Lyrita Recorded Edition LPs.

I'll save listing what I use (my System) for playback purposes for another time , as that System is currently in "Flux" (Except for perhaps my Magneplanar 2.7QR loudspeakers).

Enjoy your Day (& Music)
Steve

Three Welcomes....... Cool (& I've definitely gave away my age bracket with that one).

Does this mean that I'm going to receive a 'Complimentary' Jays Audio CDT2 mk2 ?? (As this would compliment my Metrum Acoustics Hex Nos DAC quite nicely)..... ah well ! (I guess I'll just have to live with my Consonance cd120 linear a bit longer; Don't let anyone try to tell you "High Quality" Audio isn't available from China) (I saw a comment on AA recently alluding to this; I'm 'Old' there while I'm 'Nu' here)

Hi Steve! I feel odd saying that while I'm sitting here listening to synth pop, given your music preferences :). But hello! And no, I don't solely listen to synthpop.

Welcome aboard! We cut a pretty broad swath around here so bring what ya got to the table.
He,he,he.......Thank you very much, but so as not to disappoint , I think I'll reserve bringing something to the table just yet.
Welcome, Steve!
Wow, Fidelity Research ..... now that brings back memories of a tonearm demonstration that had me regretting for years not getting the tonearm. When I finally decided it was time to get the tonearm I was informed Fidelity Research had gone out of business. How's that song phrase go "I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now !" (Bob Dylan ???)

Welcome from my corner of the audio world
There is a nice mix of age and musical/audio taste here complimented by civility for a comfortable place to talk about our experiences with no trolls or flames.
Enjoy and share your system and thoughts.

Hmmm........ It took me a few seconds to recognize that I may have been contacted by a "Famous" (of course,of course) character from the Sixties !!! (Sorry, but I watched WAY too much TV as a kid ; If you're not old enough to remember this TV show theme song just find a retro TV channel to watch & you'll find out who I'm referring to) (New Guy Disclaimer ; This comment was made in a Civil & Non Inflammatory manner ; It's just my Jimmy Durante alter ego acting up)

I'll get back to "Audio Postings" my next posting. Have a Great Day !

I watched a lot of Mr Ed when I was a kid, still remember the Studebaker adds. That is where the moniker stems from, yes. )

Welcome to The Haven, @NuSteveA :)

The Haven is a very mellow experience - we have been known to discuss pretty much every type of audio gear and genre of music here without starting WW III. ;)

Well FR came back as Ikeda, in case you want to trade your car for a tonearm :) Beautiful arms, though.
