Hello from central California! System pics also.

Next Round Is On Me
Looking forward to read your thoughts on it. I read up a little on the legacy build and jumped on a local 300b/el84 variant. I was heavily reward to say the least.

Holiday guests are now all gone and things are returning to normal. I am excited to get started on a full room treatment in the next weeks, but for now things are sounding better and better with each little upgrade over the last months. I am excited to hear what the room treatment brings.

Custom EL84 amp based on the Eico HF-81

Schiit Yggdrasil Analog 2 DAC
Custom Preamp based on the Aikido circuit using 5687 tubes

Very nice looking EL-84 amp! Did you use Eico iron?

I plan on building something very similar using the OPTs from Eico HF-12 amps. I haven’t decided whether to use the Eico circuit or something else.

I too was thinking about doing something like this, using the iron from a Scott 299B I have in box (way beyond 'restoring') - no idea of what circuit to use though.

One of the TD-124 tables is together and though not fully restored as it could be it is enough that it's running great! The other ( with a black plinth, Ortofon RMG-212 tonearm, and Ortofon S 15-M/T both rebuilt to new standards) will be put in the system once everything returns from STS.

:) Things are sounding the best I have ever heard as of lately. All the R2R decks have been serviced and some amazing turntables are almost finished being restored/built. By the end of the year a few amp projects will be finished also. Now I think it will soon be time for some custom racks.

Really liking your Burgess gear(and everything else!) especially the Gizmotron! About 45 minutes up Route 190 from Visalia, and you are at my favorite place, The Needles. Maybe you've hiked to the old fire lookout tower before it burned down? Tried the pea salad at the Ponderosa Lodge? Once I was broke down in Springville for a couple weeks across from the senior living center on 190. Dude had an older Westy and he let me camp in his front yard (in my Westy:)). I was also broke down at Dome Rock for about a month in March/April. :)
