I had one about 15 or more years ago, my first idler table.
I was so tempted... but I need more than 2 watts! How’s it sound?
Interesting. I bought a similar one from Ottoman Labs. It was poorly packed and there were a bunch of loose bits inside on arrival. I used it briefly but then had Oliver completely tear it apart and rebuild me an amp using the Tamara Iron the ottoman amp came with.
Sounds ridiculously great in my setup. Very "holographic" is what comes to mind for a description.I was so tempted... but I need more than 2 watts! How’s it sound?
That Audio Technica is a great table. Have one with an Ortofon Blue cartridge. What phono stage are you using with the table?
Phono pre is a Softone Model4. You are right it's a great table and it wont break the bank at 500.00 new and with the addition of a Funk Firm Acromat it really sounds very very good! That Audio Technica is a great table. I am about 30 minutes north of VisaliaReally liking your Burgess gear(and everything else!) especially the Gizmotron! About 45 minutes up Route 190 from Visalia, and you are at my favorite place, The Needles. Maybe you've hiked to the old fire lookout tower before it burned down? Tried the pea salad at the Ponderosa Lodge? Once I was broke down in Springville for a couple weeks across from the senior living center on 190. Dude had an older Westy and he let me camp in his front yard (in my Westy). I was also broke down at Dome Rock for about a month in March/April.
