Hello from Chicago NW Suburbs

I just recently joined HiFi Haven. I happened upon an article about how to play DSD over a SB touch and it eventually led me here. I followed along and read through the entire “ripping SACD” thread (late to the party, I know). With a few stumbles I am now ripping SACDs with a Sony BX59 acquired from eBay. I’ve spent many hours ripping CDs (dB PowerAmp). I have +/- 2500 FLAC complete albums. I also have +/- 2500 MP3 albums of various quality, a collection of many genres. I have minuscule collection SACDs, about 50, that I just ripped thanks to the geniuses in this forum.
I’m a longtime Squeezebox fan (Since Slim Devices). I have 10 devices throughout my home (Classic, Duet receivers, touch, transporter, boom and radio). I run LMS via a tiny little Dell computer sitting back in a corner with nothing to do but serve music, which it does marvelously. I’m a 2 channel guy. My main system is simple; a Classe CAP 151, SB Transporter, KEF XQ20s and SVS sub.
This subject appealed to me as I love to re-purpose old equipment. In my early days with SB server I have used old workstation computers hosting FreeNas with LMS, then to UBUNTU with LMS which I used for years. I tried Windows Home Server without much success, then WIN7 and now WIN 10 on the little Dell 9020m. I also am running an Xpenology NAS on an old workstation box (great project, google it). I’m still working on a method to play DSD so I still have a lot to explore in this forum.

Welcome to the Haven. Id like to think that eventually I will get to hear what SACD sounds like. Ive yet to even see a player or a disc.
