Hello from Washington State

I've just joined, after this site was recommended to me by Paul (Bottlehead). I just bought an amp from him, a 3C24 that I'm in love with. Speakers are custom-built Tannoy HPD 315's, TT is a Garrard 401/Dynavector 501 arm, on a DIY plinth. Never been happier at home, long listening sessions deep into the night. I wish you all this same kind of happiness.

Hello Thermionics, I live in Oak Harbor, which is on Whidbey Island, on the north end of the island (Puget Sound). He's about two hours away from where I live.

The amp Paul of bottlehead) built for me is the very best amp I have ever had the pleasure of having, and the best match for my Tannoy HPD 315's. They just sound gorgeous, yet with plenty of slam, when called for. The new 3C24 amp that's my avatar is one Paul built for me. This amp will see many thousands of hours of use in its future.

Thank you Ed. The new amp is a jewel, my Tannoys have never sounded this good, and in spite of not providing a great deal of Wpc, it's able to scare the daylights out of me as well. This will always be my favorite amp. I wonder what it would sound like with very sensitive speakers?
