Hello, my name is Cyrus.

Since my NuPrime is out being repaired, I took the opportunity to audition something kinda fun in my room with the Harbeths — a Cyrus Audio One Cast that is on loan to me the the option to buy if I like it. I just got it yesterday and only have a few hours on it, but I’ll give my thoughts as the listening continues. Early impressions are it’s doing some good stuff.

Its a pretty nice package. Uses google cast, like the old Chromecast Audio’s to stream from native apps. No, often clunky, third party app to use. The Cyrus also includes plenty of digital inputs including SPDIF and Coax, USB, even an HDMI ARC and HT Bypass. It has MM phono and analog inputs also, as well as Bluetooth AptX. No shortage of connection options. For now I’ll be using the internal streaming, as well as my TV via Optical SPDIF and the Node2i via Coax for comparison.

More to come.

It's sounding really nice. I don't have a lot of hours in front of it. But I'll post some more observations soon.

Neat little amp. Did you end up buying it? How did it pair with your P3ESR?

It really is a cool amp. It sounded really good with the Harbeths, but it lacked just a little bit of the umph that the NuPrime gives them. They are kinda power hungry little bastards.

I’m gonna do a write up here, but ultimately as fun as it is, I’m not keeping it. I’ll try and write my full review later this week.
