Thanks, the La Scalas are 1981. I got them from a closed skating rink 6 years ago and did some work on them.Welcome to the haven and great looking setup! Really digging the la scalas and their color!
Curious as to the work you did to them and your other system components. Thanks, the La Scalas are 1981. I got them from a closed skating rink 6 years ago and did some work on them.
The La Scalas were beat up so I refinished them, added the braces next to the doghouse, put Crites ct120 tweeters in and built battery biased crossovers similar to Crites A/4500.Curious as to the work you did to them and your other system components.
Very interested in the Cornet hybrid. The La Scalas were beat up so I refinished them, added the braces next to the doghouse, put Crites ct120 tweeters in and built battery biased crossovers similar to Crites A/4500.
The turntable is a 1999 Technics SL-1200M3D I added the Origin Live Onyx tonearm, made an external power supply and had it painted.
The phono stage I built, it is a Hagerman Cornet 2 octal hybrid with adjustable input impedance and external power supply.
The amp is a Yaqin MS-20L, I changed the coupling caps, changed the volume pot to a blue alps and added a blue alps in the negative feedback circuit for adjustment.
The Panamax line filter, Emotiva cd player and Nakamichi CR1-A are stock.
I think the hybrid is better than the cornet 2. Because I have the power supply in a separate box I am in the process of building a full octal version. I will just use the same power supply and adjust resistor values as needed. I may post pics of what I have so far in the tube forum.Very interested in the Cornet hybrid.
I have a board I bought years ago with building the hybrid in mind.
I had the original and the 2nd versions, both very enjoyable.
Welcome aboard. Great system.
