That would be interesting. Taking 'normal' speakers and putting a sort of speaker-grille shroud in front of them.
I can't find much info on the sound quality of the POD speakers. The original ones were a sort of lifestyle speaker designed by some folks were part of the original B&W Nautilus design.There used to be a dealer in Chicago but they don't carry them anymore.
Check out the cheddar burgers (and wings - though $$$ prices) at Buffalo Joes on Clark St. Spreadable cheddar from a "ceramic crock" (probably plastic now), the only place I have ever seen this. I used to live 30 seconds from that place, SW corner apartment @ Clark/Sherman, 2nd floor.
The wings have gone up about 300% in price over the last 3 decades, while the burger prices look to be about the same, maaaaaybe 20% higher.
Stop in for some of the North Side's best wings, perfect for a quick snack for one or party platter for twenty. Great for game days and get-togethers of all kinds. Three locations in Evanston and Chicago.
