Its for ears but should be good for aligning carts

My wife is having ear issues so we were going to buy a normal ear scope but then I found this and thought about aligning my cartridge. I thing is will work well and for the price.....

Can I just say the picture of the ear 'insides' in that photo grosses me out?

From experience, you want one with a stand and with adjustable focal distance and lighting. These little ones are fixed focus, though probably fine for exploratory personal health, I don't think it will be very useful for cartridge alignment.

I got this one some years ago and have used it many times for alignment (with a laptop):

I have one exactly like DC's except I broke the stand within a minute. I strap mine to a piece of carbon fiber rod that I put in a tripod. Well, now I just use my phone camera for alignment and set the top of the cart level. Life's too short to by green bananas.
