Just saw at AA that Pierre Sprey (Mapleshade) has died

Love 'im or hate 'im, he was certainly an iconoclast when it came to hifi, and I guess he made his mark in his erstwhile day job, too. Sorry to read of his passing.
I know nothing about the dot org that's the source of this brief memorial (link below), but it is interesting & seemed worth sharing.

RIP...I thought the heavy footer spikes were quite good. I have an HF81 and a Technics 1210 spiked with them into a heavy platform then isolated with pads and they are very effective in those applications. I enjoyed some of the CDs also.

I did not know about his day job. The A-10 Warthog is still well thought of unless you are on the receiving end.
