JVC QL-A7 counter-weight repair

Hi all. I have a JVC QL-A7 table that I'm trying to fix the CW droop caused by the rubber bushing deteriorating over time. I've read other threads but they were for the QL-7, not the QL-A7. I am at the point now where I have the CW removed, the old rubber removed and the brass shaft is just sticking out from the collar of the tonearm. The shaft is totally loose, able to rotate it and can go slightly in and out of the collar. The shaft is secured inside the collar with a philips screw and a washer. I've included a pic. My question to you is how to remove the collar? There are screws on both sides but they are pretty tight. I did'nt want to apply too much pressure. Has anyone here removed the collar or heard of a best way to remove it? By removing the collar I'll be able to remove the philips screw and washer, remove the shaft, put on a new rubber bushing or use silicone to secure and isolate the shaft. Any help or tips greatly appreciated. thanks.

I have a GOOD question for you:
Where you will get a new good rubber bushing?
The QL-A7 is out of manufacturing for almost 40 years now
I also look for one such bushing for my QL-10
Good luck and please let me know the source for your purchase

That bushing is a bit of a bear to replace in the A7 arm. My QL-A7 has a drooping arm as well. A fellow on AK as well as someone on the diyAudio forum had some pictures of a repair that they did.
I haven't attempted to repair mine yet but when I do I will grind a screw driver with a slot in it to break loose the nuts. Be very careful when you release the collar, the tonearm wires are fragile as one poster found out.
You will find some suggestions as to how they repaired their arms but most folks don't do it right. The stub needs to be isolated completely, the screw or stud as found on the 70xx arms are completely surrounded by rubber so nothing metal will contact the collar.
@FCU, I just picked up a UA-5045 tonearm for parts, it looks like it uses the same bushing setup as the UA-7045 and UA-7082 tonearm. My UA-7045 arm is mint but my UA-7082 has a drooping weight as well.
Anyway, my plan is to build a mold and cast some new bushings out of urethane. It's sort of a when I have time thing as I have to use my buddy's Bridgeport to machine the mold. I'll make it multi cavity so I can make several at a time. Also need to get a small vacuum pot to degas the urethane and release the air bubbles when I mix it.
When I finally make some I'll post a notice. You and a bunch of other folks are looking for replacements.

I must have gotten lucky with my QL-7 or it was already serviced before I got it because the arm doesn't droop at all.
