Klangfilm Europa Junior- Experiment

Hello,
now something really crazy. Friends of mine introduced me to Ralf at the Frickelfest 2019. They thought that the two of us would be a good match. That was also the case :-)
The basic idea was to build a Europa Junior Horn. That was pretty easy for me in terms of construction. Ralf cursed me for it :-) Drawing, tweeter horn (Isophon DKS6 with bronze champagne flute horn)., Unknown pressure chamber driver and bass came from me. The curse of Ralf's work.
I haven't heard our construction yet. But sounds should fall out ;-)
But the idea is older and I'm a little proud that it was implemented. There are a few peculiarities that I discussed with a dear friend years ago. Unfortunately Andreas is no longer alive :-(
But the spirit of his plays along here.
Maybe I can get Ralf to discuss his loudspeaker here - if there is interest in it.

Very interesting horn design. I noticed two departures from the original Klangfilm Europa Junior design: The two vertical sides of the horn mouth curve in a little bit near the bottom, and the woofer is mounted on a concrete block isolated from the speaker frame. Most curious about the reasons for these two departures.

It's actually quite an elegant design. now that the function portion of that deign is determined, one could really add some nice form.

Hello Tsingtao_1903
"The two vertical sides of the horn mouth curve in a little bit near the bottom, ..."

I can not say anything about this. I asked friend Ralf to sign up and answer the question. His username is Hannenwall.
".. and the woofer is mounted on a concrete block isolated from the speaker frame. Most curious about the reasons for these two departures. "
It's a very old thought that a deceased friend and I once hatched. We called it "Masseklops". The chassis is attached to the magnet and attached to a massive stand on the floor. This also centers the baffle at the same time. The loudspeaker basket is only slightly attached to the baffle. So it's adjustable.
The horn itself is a mixture of calculation, analysis of different horns, listening to different horns, JE Labs blog and Kaspie's own world of thought.
All the horns were so different in size and shape that I just thought I shouldn't be so precise with the calculation. The formula: pi x snout. If you also think in “horn”, that fits. The horn neck and the transition from the driver to the horn are important.

greetings
Kay
