Sold LFD LE IV Signiture integrated amplifier-sold

Has Been Sold
LFD Model LE IV Signature integrated amp. This is a really nice sounding integrated, the best synergy I’ve found with my Harbeth C7es3’s. The looks seem to be a bit polarizing but I think it looks very cool, fwiw. I peeled the ugly blue vinyl LFD sticker off of the front panel. The amplifier is basic with 5 line level inputs, and tape in/out. There’s really nothing here that can’t be easily repaired in the years to come or become obsolete.

That LFD is a truly special amp, basically a SET sounding amp done in solid state, and an absolute steal at that price. I'm truly shocked that no one has snagged it yet.

Updated thread to include just the LFD Integrated. Other items are sold. This is a killer integrated that will grow with any system. Sounds great at low volume and has enough power for most speakers. There is no touch screen, dac, or anything else to make it obsolete.

When I used solid state this was my favorite amp. Definitely as close to tubes you’ll get with SS.

Wonderful piece and rather a "stealth" integrated. If I were in the market at the moment...

Correct, no remote but I must say that the volume control has a really lovely feel to it. Hard to explain, it’s just smooth and weighty. Though, I realize that a remote is a desirable feature for many. And I agree with those stating the tube like sound of this piece. It does have a lot of the same (hard to define) sound qualities of a nice tube amp. I am reluctant to sell it but the LFD is just (only just) nudged out by my Slagleformer/Fisher 55a combo. Not to mention I have way too much money tied up in the Fishers to not use them daily. I should really post a thread about those amps some day.

Ha. I know exactly what you mean. I could never describe it but always felt it was the best VC I’ve experienced.

It has that glow that that only good tune gear has. But without overdoing it and making it mushy like old tube amps tend to.
'it's a gem with BBC monitors. Loves Spendors and works very nicely with Reference 3A.

This is SO tempting but I don't have a home for it, and other things have hogged my finances :(.

I like their unconventional use of materials. They are the only manufacturer I know that uses plastic cases/chassis, but for great reason, its superior mechanical vibration dampening properties when compared to metals. I bet this helps out significantly in the performance/sounds department.

I almost put an asterisk next to chassis as I wasnt sure. They do use plastic enclosures bc of its anti-resonant properties and are the only company I have seen that does this.

Same here. If I didn't have this nice Luxman sitting in front of me (and a few projects to get done) the PM would have been sent already.
