Mandatory, temporary unpaid leave.

If you do make it out here, hopefully Twisted Spoke will be back open. They have an excellent selection of whiskey/whisky. I'm bummed as for the last 5 years Christmas meant one of my best friends visited from St Louis and we'd always go to Twisted Spoke. No visit this year.
It won't happen until we can fully partake in all that Chi-town has to offer. So we'll just bide our time.

High Woody, Sorry to hear about the way you've been treated. Have been there myself back in the day (semi-retired now). Especially agree with the comments of Fran604g. But there was one positive outcome to my departure: the CEO, etc of the agency where I was were too cowardly to fire me so they brought in a guy and gave him my job title (Creative Director) to make my life untenable, especially as he was supposed to make me go. What actually happened was that we both know what was going on, started going to lunch, became great friends and remain that way to this day, 37 years later. Another joke: when I finally left (at my 'own chosen speed' as Dylan sang) and went freelance, he kept calling me in for heaps of copywriting jobs and I made more per hour than when employed there. Got chocolate biscuits and coffee as well, each time I called.😋 Chin up, keep on keeping on, mate: you sound like you have the attitude to come out of this bummer OK.
